- Desert Development Foundation: Concept paper and strategic and

- In-depth report on the enforcement of high seas fishing agreements for Oceana. Separately, briefing on the evolution of EU Common Fisheries Policy and related EU decision-making.

October 2003:

- Written submission on the role of NGOs in global governance at the request of the UN Secretary-General's Panel of Eminent Persons on Civil Society (document available upon request).

- Campaign strategy training course for Consumers International during its World Congress in Lisbon.

- Panel Participant at President Vaclav Havel's Forum 2000 "Bridging Global Gaps" Conference, Prague, 15-17 October.

- Lecture "Multilateral Environment Agreements and Public Awareness," Faculty of Humanities, Charles University, Prague, 16 October.

- Development and implementation of a European political strategy for the Environmental Investigation Agency's new campaign to preserve the ecological integrity of the Okavango Delta in Botswana (October and ongoing). Representation of EIA at the Joint ACP/EU Parliamentary Assembly in Rome, 11-15 October. A detailed briefing is available on the EIA website.

September 2003:

- Support and advice to Green Cross International on international measures and instruments which could be used to address issues related to water and sanitation.

- Attendance at the "Water for Life and Peace" Dialogues in Bologna, Italy, on behalf of Green Cross, September 24-25.

- Analysis of development and campaign plans for the marine advocacy organisation Oceana.

- Strategic advice to Greenpeace International on its oceans campaign.

- Written article "Iceland and whaling", an analysis from a contemporary historic perspective.

June 2003:

- Advice to ASH-UK and the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids in developing a ratification strategy for the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control.

In preparation for the World Health Assembly
, support for the adoption of the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control on behalf of ASH-UK.
